Mission - Belief Statements - Core Values

We are a small group of people who have set out on the greatest journey of our lives. Under the anointed leadership of Pastor Chris Edwards, we seek to serve Christ through the local church. We serve with commitment, worship with passion, and live in the beauty of holiness through Christ.

We saw a need for a place of worship that is not bound in tradition or the legalities of religion, but is directed by leadership rooted in the Word of God and led by the Holy Spirit. At VGM, we build relationships not religion. Vineyard Gospel Ministries is a new church for a new day.

While seeking God about where He wanted us to be, He spoke to us and told us to come to Richlands, NC. He said that He was raising us up as a fresh well of water.

God is looking for a generation in this day who will "seek His face." I believe we are those people! We are chasing the glory of God! God said, "I will give you the desires of your heart." Our desire here at VGM is to see God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, release revival in this area.

These are exciting times in which to serve Jesus Christ. Perhaps you feel that VGM is the place for you. Come and be a part of this awesome move of God!

Our Mission Is:

To lead people to faith in Jesus Christ and membership in God's family.
To build people to Christian maturity.
To prepare people for their ministry in the church and life mission.
To exalt the name of Jesus.

What We Believe:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ: that Christ is the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Christ died for our sins, was buried, and raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor.

We believe that "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God," and that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

We believe that justification is by faith alone, and that regeneration or the new-birth, through faith in the blood of Christ is absolutely essential.

We believe that sanctification is subsequent to regeneration and is a second definite instantaneous work of grace; obtained by faith on part of the fully justified believer.

We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is an endowment of power for those who have clean hearts, and the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We believe that we should receive water baptism, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, as a testimony to the world that one has accepted Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe in divine healing as provided by the Atonement.

We believe in the sacrament of the Lord's Supper as commemorating Christ's death and anticipating His Second Coming.

We believe in the personal, pre-millennial, second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to meet Him in the air. Second, to reign with His saints on Earth a thousand years.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to life eternal, and the lost to everlasting punishment.
